Carnival Cruise Line maintains the highest sanitation standard and we are committed to doing all we can to safeguard the health of our guests and crew.

In addition to aggressive public health and sanitation protocols, we have well-trained and experienced medical staff with sophisticated reporting and communication capabilities on board that can assist and prevent the introduction and/or spread of any infectious disease. Working together with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and public health agencies around the world, including the Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), who assists the cruise ship industry to prevent and control the introduction, transmission and spread of infectious illnesses on cruise ships, Carnival Cruise Line has established extensive sanitation and medical procedures which are in place on board each vessel, that are extremely effective in maintaining a healthy onboard environment.

Our onboard medical centers have sufficient supplies of medications, medical equipment and appropriate diagnostic test kits, as recommended by the CDC.

In case you develop any health concerning symptoms prior to embarking the vessel or during your cruise, please do not hesitate to ask for medical attention or call our friendly medical staff if you are on board the vessel.

As you already know, the best precaution and preventative measure is to wash hands frequently, such as before eating, after using the restroom and at opportune times throughout the day. Purell hand sanitizers are effective in conjunction with a good hand washing practice. Information on good hygiene practice is also provided to all guests and broadcasted on in-stateroom televisions.

If you have already developed any health symptoms, the best precaution to stop any transmission to your loved ones is to seek and ask for professional medical attention. Our medical team is on standby 24/7, on board each and every vessel, and medical attention can be provided at any time, either in the medical center or in your stateroom.

As per CDC recommendations, if you develop or are diagnosed with any infectious disease symptoms, you are asked to stay in your stateroom until medical staff complete their evaluation and until your health condition improves.
