What to Pack for a Canada and New England Cruise

The Canada and New England cruise you have been dreaming about forever is finally booked and you are all set to go, but you now find yourself asking "What should I pack?" No need to worry...Carnival’s team of cruise experts have plenty of experience in this area and have put together the following list of things to pack for a cruise to Canada and New England. Read through our checklist as you prepare for your own trip and start anticipating breathtaking coastlines and fall foliage.

Most cruises to Canada and New England sail in the summer or fall, so keep in mind it can be foggy and chilly in the mornings and evenings, but you may also need sunscreen and some warm-weather items. Be sure to pack layers like a light sweater or jacket to keep warm. Pack for comfort both onboard the ship and for in-port explorations, whether you are setting out for whale-spotting or strolling around quaint Canadian and New England towns.

  • Rain coat or poncho and small umbrella 
  • Clothing you can wear in layers, including a cardigan and lightweight jacket
  • Scarf and cap
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Hat or visor and Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Credit card or debit card to use in port; if using cash, change will most likely be given back in CAD, not USD
